These policies apply to all purchases made directly through FoldAR. By placing an order with FoldAR, the purchaser acknowledges and agrees to the policies outlined below.
1. Order Acceptance
All orders are subject to acceptance and verification by FoldAR.
FoldAR reserves the right to cancel or refuse any order for reasons including, but not limited to:
- suspected fraud
- export compliance concerns
- product availability
- pricing errors
- compliance with federal, state, or local laws
Orders are considered accepted once payment has been processed and the order enters the fulfillment or production queue.
2. Shipping Policy
FoldAR ships all orders via FedEx. Carrier selection is determined by FoldAR based on package size, value, destination, and regulatory requirements.
Shipping Timeframes:
- Standard products typically ship within: 15 business days
- Custom builds typically ship within: 30–45 days
These timeframes are estimates and may vary due to production schedules, compliance requirements, or carrier delays. FoldAR does not ship orders on weekends or holidays. Tracking information will be provided once the order ships.
3. Firearm and Suppressor Shipping
Firearms and suppressors are regulated items and must be shipped in accordance with federal law.
All firearms and suppressors must be shipped to a valid Federal Firearms License (FFL) dealer selected by the purchaser.
Customers are responsible for:
- selecting a qualified FFL
- confirming the FFL will accept the transfer
- completing all required ATF paperwork
FoldAR is not responsible for the policies, fees, or refusal of any third-party FFL dealer.
Inspection Requirement: Upon arrival at the FFL dealer, the purchaser must inspect the firearm or suppressor before completing the ATF transfer process. Once the transfer has been completed, the item is considered delivered.
4. Order Cancellation Policy
FoldAR firearms and many other products are built or assembled to order. Orders cancelled after entering the production or fulfillment process but before shipment are subject to a 15% cancellation fee. This fee offsets: payment processing costs, labor, production preparation, and administrative handling.

Refunds are issued to the original payment method.
5. Returns and Exchanges
All returns and exchanges require prior approval and a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) issued by FoldAR. Returns shipped without an approved RMA may be refused and returned to the sender at the customer’s expense.
5.1 Returned Products (Delivered Orders)
Products returned after delivery are subject to a 25% restocking fee.
Customer is responsible for:
- return shipping
- return insurance
- secure packaging
Products must be returned within 30 days of delivery.
- in like new condition, meaning they show no signs of use, firing, wear, installation, or modification and include all original packaging, documentation, and accessories.
- unmodified
Once the returned product is received and inspected, FoldAR will issue either:
- refund to the original payment method
- store credit
Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
5.2 Firearms and Suppressors
Non-NFA firearms and other regulated items may be returned after transfer only with prior authorization from FoldAR. NFA items are not eligible for return or exchange.
NFA items remain eligible for warranty service.
5.3 Refused Transfers
If a firearm or suppressor is refused during transfer at the FFL dealer for any reason not caused by FoldAR, the purchaser is responsible for:
- original shipping costs
- return shipping costs
- 25% restocking fee
Refunds will be issued once the product has been received and inspected by FoldAR. If a firearm or suppressor shipped to an FFL is not transferred to the purchaser within 30 days of delivery, FoldAR reserves the right to treat the order as refused and process the return in accordance with the Refused Transfer policy.
5.4 Non-Returnable Items
The following items are not eligible for return or exchange:
- NFA items
- special orders
- BLEM items
- sale items
- used items
These items remain eligible for warranty service if applicable.
6. RMA Requirement
All returns, exchanges, or warranty claims must be processed through an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization). Products returned without an RMA may be refused.
Customers must ensure firearms are:
- completely unloaded
- packaged securely
- shipped in compliance with carrier and legal requirements
Ammunition must never be included in firearm shipments.
7. FoldAR Warranty
FoldAR provides a warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship for products manufactured by FoldAR.
The term of FoldAR’s warranty is as follows for the end-user application:
Domestic Civilian Consumers: Lifetime, transferable
Domestic Military and Law Enforcement: 5 years, not transferable
International Military and Law Enforcement: 1 year, not transferable
7.1 Warranty Coverage Includes
- diagnostic evaluation
- replacement parts
- repair labor
- return shipping to the customer
Customers are responsible for shipping the product to FoldAR.
7.2 Warranty Exclusions
This warranty applies only to FoldAR manufactured components, and does not cover:
- third-party components
- accessories
- optics
- suppressors
If a product is determined to be defective, FoldAR will repair or replace the product at its sole discretion.
The warranty does not cover damage resulting from:
- misuse
- negligence
- improper maintenance
- use of incorrect ammunition
- handloaded or reloaded ammunition
- unauthorized modification
- improper installation of aftermarket parts
- suppressor misuse
- cosmetic wear
- accidents
- normal wear and tear
The warranty does not guarantee a specific barrel life or round count. FoldAR reserves the right to determine whether ammunition or suppressor use contributed to a failure. FoldAR reserves the right to deny warranty service if a product shows evidence of misuse or unauthorized modification. Damage caused by improper installation or assembly of barrel systems, caliber conversions, or components not installed according to FoldAR instructions is not covered under warranty.

8. Shipping Insurance and Liability
Shipping insurance may be offered through optional services during checkout.
If a customer declines shipping insurance, the customer acknowledges that:
FoldAR is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged packages once the shipment has been transferred to the carrier.
Customers are responsible for ensuring adequate insurance coverage for return and warranty repair shipments.
Title and risk of loss for all products pass to the purchaser upon transfer of the shipment to the carrier. Once a shipment has been accepted by the carrier, FoldAR is not responsible for delays, damage, loss, or theft occurring during transit. Customers are encouraged to purchase shipping insurance where available.
9. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
Orders placed through FoldAR constitute a binding agreement.
Customers agree to contact FoldAR directly to resolve any issues before initiating a payment dispute.
Fraudulent chargebacks or disputes may result in:
- denial of future purchases
- suspension of warranty privileges
- collection actions for recovery of losses
FoldAR reserves the right to provide order documentation, shipping confirmation, and policy acceptance records to financial institutions in response to chargebacks.
10. Export Compliance (ITAR/EAR)
Certain products sold by FoldAR are controlled under United States export laws including:
- International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
- Export Administration Regulations (EAR)
By purchasing from FoldAR, the purchaser certifies that they:
- are a U.S. person as defined by U.S. export law
- will comply with all applicable export regulations
- will not export, transfer, or re-export controlled products without proper authorization from the U.S. Government
FoldAR reserves the right to cancel or suspend any order suspected of violating export laws.
No statements by FoldAR employees constitute legal advice regarding export compliance.
11. Compliance With Firearm Laws
By purchasing from FoldAR, the purchaser represents and warrants that they:
- are at least 18 years of age, or 21 years of age where applicable
- are legally permitted to purchase and possess firearms and firearm accessories
- will comply with all federal, state, and local laws
- will not transfer products to prohibited persons
Customers are responsible for ensuring that any product purchased from FoldAR is legal in their jurisdiction prior to placing an order. FoldAR is not responsible for orders placed in violation of local laws.
12. Force Majeure
FoldAR shall not be liable for delays or failure to perform due to events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, terrorism, government actions, labor disputes, supply chain disruptions, natural disasters, or carrier delays.
13. Governing Law and Venue
These policies and any disputes arising from purchases made through FoldAR shall be governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any legal action must be brought exclusively in the courts located in Smith County, Texas.
14. Policy Modifications
FoldAR reserves the right to modify or update these policies at any time. The policies in effect at the time of purchase will govern the transaction. (edited)
